Membership Information

 










Regular Membership
Any lawyer who is licensed to practice law in the state of Arkansas and is in good standing with the Arkansas Supreme Court who does not qualify for membership under any of the membership categories listed below may become a "Regular Member" of the Arkansas Trial Lawyers Association. Regular dues are based on the date of the member's admission to the practice of law in Arkansas. A regular member is eligible to vote and hold office in this organization.

0-2 Years = $75
2-5 Years= $100
5-8 Years= $225
8-10 Years= $325
10+ Years= $450

Law Student Membership
A law student engaged in the course of study at a law school. Student Members cannot vote or hold office in ATLA.

Associate Member (In-State)
Any lawyer who is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and in good standing with the Arkansas Supreme Court who practices law individually or with a firm that engages in the practice of law representing defendants or their insurance companies in personal injury matters at least 50% of their time may be an Associate Member (In-State) of this organization. Associate Members may not vote or hold office.

0-2 Years= $100
2-5 Years= $150
5-8 Years= $175
8-10 Years= $225
10+ Years= $250

Associate Member (Out of State) $550
Any lawyer admitted to practice before any court of final jurisdiction in any state of the U.S. but is not admitted to practice law before the Arkansas Supreme Court may be an Associate Member (Out-of-State). Associate Members may participate fully in the activities of the Association but cannot vote or hold office in ATLA.

Law Professor $125
Any lawyer who is a full-time teacher of law at any accredited law school or college who is licensed to practice law in the state of Arkansas and in good standing with the Arkansas Supreme Court may be a Law Professor Member. Law Professors may not hold office within the association nor do they hold voting rights.

Retired Member $125
Any member who is 70 years or older who has retired from the active practice of law and who has completed ten years as a dues-paying member.

Government Member $125
Any lawyer who is a full-time employee of a local, state, or federal government agency and who is licensed to practice law in the state of Arkansas and in good standing with the Arkansas Supreme Court may be a Government Member. Government members may not vote nor may they hold office within the association.

President’s Club Membership
A regular member may become a member of the prestigious President’s Club by making annual dues payments of $1000. Special association programs and services are supported by the additional dues revenue.

Sustaining Membership
A regular member may become a Sustaining Member by paying $750 annually. Special projects and public education programs are supported by the additional dues revenue.

Circle of Advocates Membership
A regular member may become a Circle of Advocates member by paying annual dues of $500. The extra dues revenue go to support legislative advocacy programs of the association and other special projects.
